In a very favorable position to explore the Abruzzo, our farm holiday with pool and restaurant is few kilometers far from the Adriatic sandy beaches and the panoramic Gran Sasso. It is surrounded by a lot of villages, naturalistic areas and villages that have a great historic and cultural interest.
Along the Adriatic coast, between Pineto and Silvi, rises one of the ancient coastal towers, that dated back to the Neapolitan Kingdom. The Cerrano Tower is a really well preserved example of coastal fortress, that in the past were used to protect the hinterland by the Turkish and Saracens attacks from the sea. Today it overlooks a protected marine natural area and hosts the Museum of the Sea and the International Center of Veterinary Training.
Sulla costa abruzzese, al confine tra le località di Pineto e Silvi, si erge una delle antiche torri costiere risalenti al periodo del Regno di Napoli. La Torre di Cerrano è un esempio ben conservato di fortificazione costiera, destinata in passato a proteggere l’entroterra dagli attacchi dei turchi e dei saraceni provenienti dal mare. Oggi domina un’area naturale marina protetta ed ospita il Museo del Mare e il Centro Internazionale di Formazione Veterinaria.
In a dominant position over the Valley of the Vomano, the Montegualtieri Tower is really typical thanks to its particular and rare triangular drawing. In the past it was part of a network of structures dedicated to the defense and control of the territory. From its summit, indeed, it opens a wide panorama that goes from the Adriatic coast to the Gran Sasso.
Castelbasso is one of the small hill centers in the province of Teramo that is known for its great cultural liveliness, that is expressed in periodic events that enliven the village, above all in summer. Since the Middle age, it has had a great importance in the control of the surrounding territory and its defensive soul is expressed by the powerful walls that still surround the village. Regular appointment in Castelbasso is a series of events, exhibitions, concerts, shows that are hosted in summer by the Association Malvina Menegaz for Arts and Culture.
Roseto degli Abruzzi is one of the bathing villages along the abruzzese coast, tich in chalets, pubs, entertainments... The original core of the city is the village of Montepagano, on the hill that overlooks the coast, famous for its rose plantations from which the city has took its name. Become in the last years a really important tourist city center, Roseto degli Abruzzi offers cultural and artistic events, spaces for sports, such as basketball, tennis, skating, windsurf and sailing.
It is the highest mountain of the Appennines, it spreads over the whole Abruzzo among the provinces of Teramo, L'Aquila and Pescara. The Gran Sasso is also known as the "sleeping giant" because of its profile that reminds to a person who is sleeping and offers one of the most beautiful naturalistic areas in Italy. Think about Campo Imperatore, the Lake of Campotosto, the mount villages of Pietracamela, Castelli, Arsita... where one can be enchanted by such enchanting landscapes. The whole mounty area, is furthermore protected by the National Park of the Gran Sasso and Laga Mounts and allow to do a lot of sport and exploratory activities, such as climbings, excursions, trekkings, snow racks walks, skiing activites and flora and fauna observation.
